How can Chiropractic help you?
Chiropractic care is more than just treating your back pain. It is often used to treat the nervous systems, neuromusculoskeletal complaints such as neck pain, pain in
the joints, arms or legs, and headaches. The most common therapeutic procedure
is done by chiropractors through spinal manipulation where it is by restoring joint mobility. Here are some disorders that you may be experiencing and just don't know what to do. At Discover Chiropractic, they will be able to help you with your diagnosis.

Low Back Pain
The majority of new patients complain of this. Since 4 out of 5 people will experience low back pain
in their lifetime and the majority of those will have at least one recurrence. This is obviously a
significant problem. Most cases of low back pain are uncomplicated and mechanical in nature
and can be resolved within a few treatments.

Neck Pain
This is the second most common reason people see a chiropractor. From chronic neck and shoulder tightness to acute neck pain with limited movement to one side or both, Chiropractic is extremely effective care. The relief is often rapid and patients will report increased range of motion.

Shoulder/Rotator Cuff
Shoulder injuries are extremely common, and can recover easily if caught early! Most shoulder
injuries are due to repetitive stress, and can be resolved with specific muscle stripping and exercises. Many people don't realize that their shoulder problems may be caused by restricted
and faulty spinal movement and the resulting muscular compensation. Shoulder problems have
a tendency to become worse and more complicated with time.

Rib Pain

Most people are not aware that the ribs are attached to the spine with a costovertebral joint, and
that this joint moves with bending, twisting and breathing. When the costovertebral joint is locked
or 'goes out', the result is often very sharp and painful. It can often hurt just to cough or breathe.
This is a bothersome problem, which can often be dramatically eased with a specific rib adjustment.

Pinched Nerve
Our spine houses the spinal cord - a collection of nerves running from the brain to different parts
of the body. When a vertebral joint is locked or inflamed, the associated nerves can become
painful "pinched nerve", although in fact it is rarely actually pinched. Once a nerve is activated,
pain can be felt anywhere along the pathway; sciatic pain originating in the lower back can be felt
in the buttocks and even in the legs and feet. Remember though just because you have pain into
the legs it does not necessarily mean you have “sciatica”. Many nerves can become irritated lower down the pathway than in the spine, this can also be treated by a Chiropractor. Again the sooner
you seek treatment the quicker and less recurring the problem becomes.

Many headache sufferers find relief with Chiropractic care. Restricted neck joint movement and spastic muscles can cause headaches, which are fairly simple to solve. Why take pain medication daily if you don't have to?

Plantar Fascitis
Many people have foot pain. This condition can be rather debilitating since it becomes increasingly difficult to walk. This is often caused by shortening of the muscles of the foot and lower leg that lead to inflammation with use. Chiropractic care can help by restoring the proper mechanics of the foot, treating the muscle pain and instructing you on proper walking.

Remember that no matter what your symptoms Chiropractic care may be able to help. Based on
the premises that the brain is the control center of the whole body and communicates to the body
via the nervous system, any number of symptoms can be helped with Chiropractic care. If you have pain your body is trying to tell you something and it should not be ignored. The longer something is wrong the more the body develops memory of and to that injury and the harder and longer it will take to help to correct that problem
